R-97-11-25-10J - 11/25/1997WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock has duly advertised for bids for the purchase and installation of a security system for the Police Department, and WHEREAS, Seeuritylink From Ameritech has submitted the lowest and best bid, and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept the bid of Seeuritylink From Ameritech , Now Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, That the bid of Seeuritylink From Ameritech is hereby accepted as the lowest and best bid and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to issue a purchase order to Seeuritylink From Ameritech for the purchase and installation of a security system for the Police Department. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended, and the Act. Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to issue a purchase order for the purchase and installation of a security system for the Police Department. STAFF RESOURCE PERSON: Buster Kuhlmann STAFF RECOMMENDATION: This is a request for a purchase order in the amount of $31,650 to upgrade and expand the security system at the Police Department. The current system is not capable of securing the new renovations without this upgrade and expansion. The vendor will be a Qualified Information System Vendor (Q.I.S.V.) through the General Services Commission (GSC). Staff recommends approval.
