has submitted a proposed capital budget for the Forest Creek Golf
Course for 1998, and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to approve said capital
budget, Now Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS,
That the capital budget for the Forest Creek Golf Course
submitted by Operator for 1998, attached hereto as Exhibit "A ", is
hereby approved.
The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice
of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this
Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to
the public as required. by law at all times during which this
Resolution and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered
and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act,
Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended, and the Act.

Drainage Work $ 3,500 Badly needed; Will create mounds on
# 18 green to redirect water run -off and
reshape front bunker; on # 15, add a
"babbling brook" across the fairway just
short of the green: on # 14, reshape
front bunker.
String Trimmers $ 1,000 Replace old ones; keeps course
looking clean.
Grooming Units $ 3,000 Badly needed; improve putting quality.
for greens mower
Reel Grinder $ 6,000 Badly needed; keeps blades sharp_
Utility Transport Vehicle $ 7,000 Badly needed.
Rewind Irrigation pump $ 5,000 Badly needed to increase efficiency.

running smoothly, especially with new

NOTE: Due to the expected arrival of effluent water in the spring of '98, some of the
money allocated for capital expenses might be needed for start -up costs associated
with this project.

ITEM: 10.H. Consider a resolution approving the Capital Budget for Forest
Creek Golf Course.

STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
The agreement between the City and Forest Creek Golf Course Operator (ClubCorp)
requires the operator to submit a capital budget to the City for review each year. The
capital budget is funded through a monthly deposit of 4% of the green fees. The City
owns the equipment and improvements purchased through the capital budget.
The attached exhibits illustrate the capital budget for 1997 -98.
A presentation will be made to the Council by the Operator at the meeting.
