R-98-04-09-10A1 - 4/9/1998requested that the walk route for the 2nd Annual Walk for Children on May 16, 1998 be approved, and WHEREAS, the walk route is as follows: begin at Memorial Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, RESOLUTION NO. R- 98- 04- 09 -10A1 WHEREAS, the Circle of Friends Round Rock Chapter has Park, north on Summit St., right on Sunset Dr., right on N. Mays St., left on Fannin Ave., left on N. Lampasas St., left on N. Lewis St., right on Pecan Ave., right on Georgetown St., right on E. Main St., left on S. Mays St., right on W. Bagdad Ave., right on S. Harris St., right on W. Liberty Ave., right on Round Rock Ave., left on W. Liberty Ave., left on N. Blair St., left on W. Anderson Ave., right on Lee St., and end at Memorial Park. WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to grant such request, Now That the walk route for the 2nd Annual Walk for Children be approved as set forth above. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended, and the Act. This 5K walk, a benefit for the Children's Hospital of Austin, will once again be held in downtown Round Rock. Circle of Friends requests the permission of the council to hold this event on Saturday morning, May 16, 1998. If granted, Circle of Friends may potentially raise over $5,000 for the children of Round Rock who are served at the hospital. Please find enclosed the route of the walk.
