RESOLUTION NO. R- 98- 04- 21 -4A1
WHEREAS, on March 12, 1998, the City Council of Round Rock,
Texas, adopted Resolution No. R- 98- 03- 12 -10A2, which ordered a city
election for the 2nd day of May, 1998, and
WHEREAS,said resolution ordered C.D. Fulkes Middle School,
Round Rock High School and Brushy Creek Elementary School as
official election day polling places, and Round Rock City Hall, the
RRISD Administrative Building, Westwood High School and McNeil High
School as early voting places, and
WHEREAS, since the adoption of said resolution and order, the
Round Rock Independent School District has canceled its elections,
WHEREAS, state law dictates that if there are no joint
city /school district elections, the City cannot utilize polling
places outside the city limits, and
WHEREAS, the election day polling place at Brushy Creek
Elementary School and the early voting polling places at Westwood
High School and McNeil High School are located outside the city
limits, Now Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS
That the Election Order adopted by the City Council in
Resolution No. R- 98- 03- 12 -10A2 is in full force and effect, except
the Brushy Creek Elementary School is omitted as an election day
polling place, and Westwood High School and McNeil High School are
omitted as early voting polling places for the May 2, 1998 city
election, as reflected in the Amended Election Order attached
hereto.
The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice
of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this
Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to
the public as required by law at all times during which this
resolution and the subject matter were discussed, considered and
formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act,
Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended, and the Act.

ORDER OF ELECTION
CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS
An election is hereby ordered to be held on May 2, 1998 for the purpose of electing Council, Place 2
and Council, Place 6.
The City Officer Election shall be held at the polling places for the precincts designated on the
attached Exhibit "A ", which is made a part hereof for all intents and purposes. The polls at the
designated polling places shall on said election day, be open from 7:00 am to 7:00 p.m.
That the presiding judge and alternate presiding judge for each of said polling places are designated
on the attached Exhibit "A ", and each of said presiding judges and alternate presiding judges are
hereby appointed the respective presiding judge and alternate presiding judge for each of said
polling places for this election. Each of said respective presiding judges is hereby authorized to
appoint the necessary election clerks (not less than 2 and not more than 6) to assist in conducting said
election.
Early voting by personal appearance will be conducted at the following locations:
1. Round Rock City Hall, 221 East Main Street
2. RRISD School Administration Building, 1311 Round Rock Avenue
between the hours of:
1 & 2 April 15 - April 24, 1998 Weekdays 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
1 & 2 April 27 - April 28, 1998 Weekdays 7:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

10A2 which Calls the May 2, 1998 City Council Election for
Council Place 2 and Council Place 6 and establishes polling
places. On March 12, 1998, the City Council ordered a City
election for the 2nd day of May, 1998. Since the adoption of
the resolution, the Round Rock Independent School District
canceled its election. State law dictates that if there is no
joint City /School District election the City cannot utilize
polling places outside the City limits. To comply with State
law, an amended election order is needed that omits Brushy
Creek Elementary School as an election day polling place,
Westwood High School, and McNeil High School as early
voting polling places. Early voting will be held on April 15,
1998 through April 24, 1998 (Weekdays only) at 7:30 a.m. to
5:00 p.m. and April 27 and April 28 at 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
