Dear Joanne:
The Round Rock Chamber of Commerce Frontier Days Committee request a place on the
March 26`" agenda for the purpose of requesting street closures for the event.
Frontier Days will take place on July 11 Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 a.m.
Sunday. We are requesting closure of streets for both the parade and the festival.
The parade will begin at the Sam Bass Ball Fields and proceed west on Main, cross Mays
continuing on Round Rock Ave., and then right on Lee to Memorial Park. The parade
will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Park. The section of
Main street in front of the ball fields will need to be closed at 8:00 a.m. to begin set-
up for the parade. Streets for the parade route will need to be closed from 9:00 a.m.
to 10:00 a.m. The parade will be a non - mechanical /engine parade and be representative
of parades during the mid 1800's. Since there will be no vehicles or large floats
assembling and disbursing should be very simple.
The festival will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. on July 11 Streets to be
closed are Shepard, Lampasas and Main as shown on the attached map. Including set-
up and break -down we would need these streets closed beginning 6 a.m. July 11' to
6:00 a.m. July 12'.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call me at 255 -5805.
Sincerely,
