Dear Mayor Culpepper:
DLav
Darlene Lewis, Program Coordinator
Community Outdoor Outreach Program
RECEIVED FEB 1 01999
Thank you for your recent application for the Community Outdoor Outreach
Grant program. Our department received 92 applications for the $500,000
available and unfortunately, this was not enough money to allow us to fund all
of the eligible projects.
If you have any questions about your application, please feel free to contact me
in writing and I will be happy to review your application and offer suggestions
to make it more competitive if you decide to submit another proposal for our
next funding cycle. Our grant writing assistance workshop was successful this
past October and we are currently making plans to schedule one for the next
funding cycle, which will be after September
There is a possibility we may be able to offer some assistance in the form of
supplies from donations from Academy Sports & Outdoors. If you are
interested, please make your request in writing and state what supplies will be
needed. Please let us know if you would like to remain on our mailing list to
receive information about upcoming funding cycles and workshops.
