RESOLUTION NO. R- 98- 12- 10 -13F1
WHEREAS, Williamson - Burnet County Opportunities, Inc. will
be submitting a grant application to the Texas Department of
Housing and Community affairs for funding to operate a Tenant -Based
Rent Assistance Program, and
WHEREAS, said grant will provide transitional housing
resources for clients of the Williamson County Crisis Center, and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to support the application
of said grant, Now Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS,
That the City Council hereby supports the application of
Williamson - Burnet County Opportunities, Inc. to the Texas
Department of Housing and community affairs for funding to conduct
a Tenant -Based Rent Assistance Program in Williamson County.
The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice
of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this
Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to
the public as required by law at all times during which this
Resolution and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered
and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act,
Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended, and the Act.

On behalf of Williamson- Burnet County Opportunities, Inc. (WBCO), I respectfully request the
County's support for a pending grant application through the passage of a resolution at the next
meeting of the City Council. A sample of the proposed resolution is attached for your reference.
WBCO will be submitting an application to the Texas Department of Housing and Community
Affairs for funding to operate a Tenant -Based Rent Assistance Program (TBRA) that will
provide transitional housing resources for homeless and potentially homeless persons.
The TBRA Program, if awarded, will be targeted toward providing transitional housing for
clients of the Williamson County Crisis Center.
