R- 98- 12- 22 -10A6 WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock has previously entered into a contract ( "Contract ") with Chasco Contracting, Inc. for the Downtown Storm Drainage and Street Improvement Project, and WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is necessary to change said Contract in accordance with the attached Contract Change Order No. 1, Now Therefore TEXAS, ATTEST: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City Contract Change Order No. 1 to the Contract with Chasco Contracting, Inc. for Downtown Storm Drainage and Street Improvement Project. Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Contract Change Order No. 1, to Chasco Contracting for the Downtown Streets and Drainage project. This change order is for 48Q L.F. of 8 inch PVC SDR 35- wastewater line to be installed from Brown Street to Blair Street. This requires replacing curb & gutter, possible new sewer manhole, sidewalk and street repair, fence removable and replacement, service & cleanouts and hydromulch of disturbed area. A drainage swale will also be established in this area upon completion. The total cost for the change order is $27,200. The existing line is an old clay pipeline and has breaks in the line allowing ground water infiltration and also tree roots have stopped up about 50% of the line capacity in some areas.
