RESOLUTION NO. R- 99- 02- 11 -11D2
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to Order a City Election
for the 1st of May, 1999; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to encourage all registered
voters in the City to vote in city elections; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that Robertson Elementary
School, Gattis Elementary School, First Baptist Church, Round
Rock High School and Bluebonnet Elementary School would be easily
accessible to voters in the City of Round Rock on election day;
WHEREAS, it has been further determined that early voting
places will be at the Round Rock City Hall, Round Rock
Independent School District Administration Building, Westwood
High School and McNeil High School; Now Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,
That the Council hereby orders an election on May 1, 1999 in
accordance with the attached Order of Election; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Robertson Elementary School,
Gattis Elementary School, First Baptist Church, Round Rock High
School and Bluebonnet Elementary School are hereby designated as
the official election day polling places and City Hall, Round
Rock Independent School District Administration Building,
Westwood High School and McNeil High School hereby designated as
the official early voting polling places for the May 1, 1999 City
Council Election and that the polling places and voting hours are
detailed in the attached Order of Election.
The City Council hereby finds and declares that written
notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at
which this Resolution was adopted was posted and that such
meeting was open to the public as required by law at all times
during which this Resolution and the subject matter hereof were
discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by
the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as
amended, and the Act.

ORDER OF ELECTION
CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS
An Election is hereby ordered to be held on May 1, 1999 for the
purpose of electing Mayor, Council, Place 1 and Council, Place 4.
The City Officer Election shall be held at the polling places for
the precincts designated on the attached Exhibit "A ", which is
made a part hereof for all intents and purposes. The polls at the
designated polling places shall on said Election Day, be open
from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The Early Voting Ballot Board and the presiding judge and
alternate presiding judge for each of said polling places shall
be designated by supplemental election order. Each of said
respective presiding judges is hereby authorized to appoint the
necessary election clerks (not less than 2 and not more than 6)
to assist in conducting said election. In the event a presiding
judge or an alternate presiding judge is not designated by the
Round Rock City Council, the City Secretary of the City of Round
Rock or her designee is hereby authorized to designate a
presiding judge or an alternate presiding judge. The City
Secretary or her designee shall also be authorized to designate
replacement presiding judges or alternate presiding judges should
any such officers resign their position prior to the election and
thereby fill vacancies in such positions.
Early voting by personal appearance will be conducted at the
following locations:
1. Round Rock City Hall, 221 East Main Street, 3rd Floor
2. Round Rock Independent School District Administration
Building, 1311 Round Rock Avenue
3. Westwood High School, 12400 Mellow Meadow Drive, Austin
4. McNeil High School, 5720 McNeil Road, Austin

1. 2, 3. 4 April 14 -April 23. 1999 Weekdays 8:00 a m -5:00 p.m.
1, 2. 3, 4 April 26 - April 27. 1999 Weekdays 8:00 a.m. -7:00 p.m.
