R- 99- 05- 13 -13B14 WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock has previously entered into a contract ( "Contract ") with Chasco Contracting, Inc. for handicap ramps and handicap access improvements on Main Street, and WHEREAS, it has been determined that it is necessary to change said Contract in accordance with the attached Contract Change Order No. 6, Now Therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City Contract Change Order No. 6 to the Contract with Chasco Contracting, Inc. for handicap ramps and handicap access improvements on Main Street. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended, and the Act. Out proposal is based on the City of Round Rock Public Works Dept. Drawing No. 1 of 1, dated Nov. 98, and our meeting on site on or about Friday, February 26, 1999. EXCLUSIONS: Fees, permits, testing, bond, inspections, removal /disposal of hazardous material, irrigation, landscaping, utility adjustment/relocation, and temporary erosion control. All material is guaranteed to be as specified, and the above work to be performed in accordance with the drawings and specifications submitted for the above work and completed in a substantial workmanlike manner for the sum of Six Thousand Eight Hundred Forty Nine Dollars and Zero Cents ($6,849.00) Payments are to be made as follows: Progress payments monthly less 10% retainage, payable within 30 days. Any alteration or deviation from above specifications involving extra costs, will be executed only upon written order and will become an extra charge over and above the estimate. All agreements contingent upon strikes, accidents, or delays beyond our control. Workman's Compensation and Public Liability Insurance on above wo to be taken out by CHASCO CONTRACTING. Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Contract Change Order No. 6 with Chasco Contracting for handicap ramps and handicap access improvements on Main Street This will provide wheel chair access from the Trinity Lutheran home area on Main Street to the downtown area at the Library. This work will be done on the sidewalk on the north side of Main Street including the island area at the Georgetown Street Intersection. Total cost is $6,849.00 for the eleven areas to be improved.
