WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock has previously entered into a
contract for engineering services ( "Contract ") with Rodriguez &
Huggins, Inc. for a roadway schematic for Park Valley Drive, a Round
Rock Hospital traffic study, and alternatives and schematics for
improvements to RM 620, and
WHEREAS, Rodriguez & Huggins, Inc. has submitted Supplemental
Agreement No. 3 to the Contract to increase the scope of the project
and extend the termination date of the Contract, as more particularly
described in the attached Supplemental Agreement No. 3, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to enter into said Supplemental
Agreement No. 3 to the Contract with Rodriguez & Huggins, Inc., Now
Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS,
That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on
behalf of the City Supplemental Agreement No. 3 to the Contract with
Rodriguez & Huggins, Inc. to increase the scope of the project and
extend the termination date of the Contract, a copy of said
supplemental agreement being attached hereto and incorporated herein
for all purposes.
The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of
the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this
Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the

public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and
the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted
upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas

SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. 3
TO CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES
This Amendment to the Contract for Engineering Services is made by and between the City of
Round Rock, Texas, hereinafter called the "City" and Rodriguez & Huggins, Inc., hereinafter
called the "Engineer."
WHEREAS, the City and the Engineer executed a Contract for Engineering Services, hereinafter
call the "Contract," on the 26th day of June, 1997 to develop a design sohematic for the extension
of Park Valley Drive to Oakwood Boulevard, study hospital access to RM 620, and develop
improvement scenarios for RM 620 from Wyoming Springs Drive to Deepwood Drive, and
WHEREAS, ARTICLE 2, SCOPE OF SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED BY ENGINEER,
describes those engineering services to be provided by the Engineer as a part oldie Contract, and
WHEREAS, ARTICLE 3, CONTRACT PERIOD, requires the termination of the Contract on
October 1, 1998 unless the Contract is extended, and
WHEREAS, ARTICLE 4, COMPENSATION, establishes the maximum lump sum payable
under this contract at $126,239.92 without modification of the contract, and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to amend the contract to provide for a change in scope of
services to include additional surveying and engineering services related to the addition of an 8
inch wastewater line, modifications to a proposed 12 inch water line, additional detention and
water quality requirements, and the preparation of a Water Pollution Abatement Plan, and
WHEREAS, the increase in scope of work will require the Contract Period to be extended until
March 31, 2000, and
WHEREAS, the Engineer has agreed to perform the additional work for $44,765.19 increasing
the lump sum fee for the contract to $171,005.11.
NOW THEREFORE, premises considered, the City and the Engineer agree that said Contract is
amended as follows:
ARTICLE 3, CONTRACT PERIOD shall be amended by extending the termination date of the
Contract to the close of business on March 31, 2000
ARTICLE 4, COMPENSATION shall be amended by changing the lump sum amount payable

under this contract to $171,005.11.
ATTACHMENT `B ", Services to be Provided by the Engineer shall be amended by the addition
of the following items of work:
The Engineer shall provide the additional surveying and design services required to add
approximately 800 feet of 8 inch wastewater line to the project, change the size of the
water line in the project from 8 inches to 12 inches, explore the use of the hospital water
quality pond for this project, all other water quality and detention design requirements for
the project, and the preparation and submission of a Water Pollution Abatement Plan for
the project to the TNRCC.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City and the Engineer have executed this Supplemental
Agreement in duplicate.
