WHEREAS, the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce, in celebration of
the 35th Annual Frontier Days event, has requested that the streets
along the following parade route be closed from 9:45 o'clock a.m. until
11:30 o'clock a.m. on October 2, 1999 for the Frontier Days Parade:
from C.D. Fulkes Middle School, west on West Anderston Avenue, south on
Lee Street, east on Round Rock Avenue, east on East Main Street to the
Sam Bass Ball Park, and
WHEREAS, the Council wishes to grant such request, Now Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS
That the streets along the parade route be closed as set forth
above from 9:45 o'clock a.m. until 11:30 o'clock a.m. on October 2,
1999 for the Frontier Days Parade.
The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of
the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this
Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the
public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and
the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted
upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas
Government Code, as amended, and the Act.

ITEM: 10.A.1. Consider a resolution authorizing the closing of a portion of Anderson
Avenue, Lee Street, Round Rock Avenue and E. Main Street from 9:45 a.m.
to 11:30 a.m. on October 2, 1999 for the Frontier Days Parade. The Round
Rock Chamber of Commerce is requesting the closing of streets for this year's
Frontier Days Parade. The parade will begin at C. D. Fulkes Middle School
and proceed west on W. Anderson Avenue to Lee Street; south on Lee Street
to Round Rock Avenue; east on Round Rock Avenue to E. Main Street; east
on E. Main Street to the Sam Bass Ball Park where the parade will disburse.
