The Tapestry Committee of Round Rock, the Black Leadership Awareness Club
of Round Rock High School, and Civitan wish to continue the tradition of
celebrating Martin Luther King Day. We are planning an event on Saturday,
January 15, 2000. We want the celebration to include a march ending at the
City Library. A program is planned at that location.
We seek from you permission to hold the march on Saturday, January 15th,
at 3:30 PM. We want to follow a route which begins at the corner of Lee
and Round Rock Ave. and proceeds from there east along Round Rock Ave
across Mays to Main Street and ending at the Round Rock Public Library.
We have spoken to the Police Chief Paul Conner, and he has agreed that this
is feasible for the Police Department.
