R-2014-2061 WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock ("City") has previously entered into an Agreement for Architectural Services with Wiginton Hooker Jeffry, P.C. for a City of Round Rock Fire Station; and WHEREAS, it has now become necessary to amend the Agreement to increase the not -to - exceed fee as a result of the City's requested increase in the size of the proposed prototype fire station; and WHEREAS, Wiginton Hooker Jeffry, P.C. has submitted Supplemental Agreement No. 2 to the Agreement for Architectural Services; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to enter into said Supplemental Agreement No. 2 with Wiginton Hooker Jeffiy, P.C., Now Therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City Supplemental Agreement No. 2 to "City of Round Rock Agreement for Architectural Services" for a Round Rock Fire Station with Wiginton Hooker Jeffry, P.C., a copy of same being attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein for all purposes. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended. This proposal addresses Changes in Services of the Architect for a change to the station size and cost. This proposal supersedes the one dated November 4. For the change in project size and cost, Wiginton Hooker Jeffry requests an additional $54,297, bringing the total not -to -exceed fee for the prototype/ Red Bud Station design to $382,737. This amount covers professional services rendered during Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding/ Negotiation, and Construction Administration phases for Architectural, Civil, Structural, and MEP Engineering services. No change is proposed for Basic+Enhanced Programming, Record Drawings, or Reimbursables. The final program for the station is for a building of 11,232 square feet, which is an 18% increase over the 9,500 square feet contemplated in the Agreement. The adjusted Construction Cost is $4,019,296, which also represents an increase of 18.% Per Article 1.3.3.2 of the Agreement, a change of more than 10% in size or cost is subject to an adjustment through a Supplemental Agreement.
