Rick Atkins
Director
City of Round Rock
Parks and Recreation Department
Mr. Atkins,
This letter serves to announce the bronze "Pioneer Lady" sculpture was donated to the
City of Round Rock in 2004 by myself (William H Peckham).
The eight foot statue is of the woman who represents Hattie Cluck, one of the first
women known to have traveled the Chisholm Trail. The project dubbed "The Crossing"
is the result of a partnership between the city, Round Rock Chamber of Commerce and
individual members of the community.
Thank you,
William Peckham
