Thane, P.E., Senior Engineer Justification: In response to chronic low water pressure in the Preserve at Stone Oak and the Village at Mayfield Ranch Subdivisions, a booster pump station with a hydro -pneumatic tank has been built at the existing 1431 standpipe increasing the water pressure for approximately 720 lots. This change order #1 is a reduction in the Keystone Construction's total contract amount for alternate piping and the addition of 36 calendar days to their contract. Funding: Cost: Reduction of $24,362.68 Source of funds: Capital Project Funds (self financed Utility) Outside Resources: Gray Jansing & Associates Background Information: For the past several years, the residents in this area of Round Rock have experienced chronic low water pressure problems. The booster pump station has improved the water system pressure and fire flow in this area, which includes the Preserve at Stone Oak and Village at Mayfield Ranch subdivisions.
