Funding: Cost: This engagement letter is not to exceed $10,000.00 Source of funds: TCIP Outside Resources: Sheets & Crossfield, P.C. Crossland Acquisition, Inc. Background Information: Crossland's original estimated fee was $1,500.00 based upon their initial inspection of the parcel prior to contacting the landowner. After speaking with the landowner, it was understood that there were three separate businesses that needed to be relocated. The relocation on each is fairly complicated and will require extensive communication with the landowner, attorney, and engineers. These services are to be performed in accordance with the Uniform Act and in accordance with TxDOT policy. In that agreement it was estimated Crossland's fee would not exceed $1,500.00. This estimate was based on our initial inspection of the parcel prior to contacting the landowner. Since speaking with the landowner we understand he has three separate businesses that need to be relocated. The relocation on each is fairly complicated and will require extensive communication with the owner, his attorney, the engineers and numerous meeting to successfully conclude the relocation assistance. As a result of this parcel being much more complicated than initially believed, we must revise our estimate of fees to a figure not to exceed $10,000.00. If you are agreeable to the above, please evidence your consent to the above terms by execution of a duplicate copy of this letter agreement and returning to us.
