ITEM: Action authorizing the City Manager to sign the plat for the Ray
Berglund Boulevard Subdivision Section Two.

Justification:
The City must sign the plat because of its ownership of the old County Road 168 (Double
Creek Drive) right-of-way.

Background Information:
The City began working with the various property owners in the Ray Berglund area to plat
this previously unrecorded subdivision. Currently there is an old county road right-of-way
along the east side of Double Creek Farms, Inc. that is included in the boundaries of the
proposed plat. The City will be abandoning most of this old right-of-way because of the
recent realignment of Double Creek Drive. Small portions of this right-of-way will be
dedicated as permanent Double Creek Drive right-of-way or easements, the balance will
basically be abandoned and become part of the Double Creek Farms, Inc. lot. Because of
these actions the City must also sign the plat.
