ITEM: Action authorizing the City Manager to execute Change Order
Number three with G. Creek Construction, Inc. for Forest Creek
Golf Course Clubhouse Renovations/addition.
Department: Engineering & Development Services

Justification:
This change order includes changes to the air conditioning system as well as removing the
carpet and flooring from the contractor's agreement.
Changes to the HVAC system became necessary once construction began on the project.
The original plans called for the use of the two systems in the clubhouse and the addition of
one system. Upon completion of the new drawings, the tonnage needed for occupancy
loads, and new energy requirements the system for HVAC increased to five units. Upon
review of the outdated existing equipment it was determined that only the outside
condensing units were of any value and new pricing was requested. The total for the new
HVAC system along with Contractor's Profit & OH plus insurance and additional bonding
came to a total of $36,784.00.
Included in this change order is also a deduction to take the carpet and flooring out of the
contract. Flooring is available under state buy board contracts including Texmass and can be
purchased and installed at discounted pricing.
Funding:
Cost: $ 21,784.00
Source of funds: Golf Course Construction Fund
Outside Resources:
Mike Ussery of the Golf Course Management Company has been consulted and is in
agreement with this change order.
