TO CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES

PROJECT: GREATER LAKE CREEK PARK IMPROVEMENTS
This Supplemental Contract No. 1 to Contract for Engineering Services is made by and between
the City of Round Rock, Texas, hereinafter called the "City" and Halff Associates, hereinafter
called the "Engineer".
WHEREAS, the City and Engineer executed a Contract for Engineering Services, hereinafter
called the "Contract", on the 26th day of May, 2005 for the Greater Lake Creek Park
Improvements Project and
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to amend the Contract to modify the provisions for the
scope of services and to increase the compensation by $7,056.00 to a total of $165,734.00, and
NOW THEREFORE, premises considered, the City and the Engineer agree that said Contract
is amended as follows:
I.
Article 2, Engineering Services and Exhibit B, Engineering Services shall be amended as set
forth in the attached Addendum To Exhibit B.
II.
Article 4. Compensation and Exhibit D, Fee Schedule shall be amended by increasing by
$7,056.00 the lump sum amount payable under the Contract for a total of $165,734.00, as shown
by the attached Addendum to Exhibit D.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City and the Engineer have executed this Supplemental
Contract in duplicate.

ADDENDUM TO EXHIBIT B
Engineering Services
The changes to the scope of this project are as follows:
The scope of work for this project includes preparation of a Storm Water Pollution Protection
Plan (SWPPP) for the Project.
PROJECT ASSUMPTIONS
The scope of services for this proposal has been prepared using the following assumptions as a
basis for its preparation:
1. The SWPPP will be for the area currently depicted by construction documents as the project
area.
2. The SWPPP will be at 1" = 50' scale, with an assumption that approximately eight (8) sheets
will be provided.
3. Hall' Associates will prepare the SWPPP for use by the Contractor selected to perform and
work of the Project.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
The Basic Services are defined as follows:
A. Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan
1. The Storm Water Pollution Protection Plan (SWPPP) will include the following components:
a. Existing and proposed contours
b. Existing drainage features
c. Drainage patterns
d. Creeks and other surface waters, if applicable
e. 100 -yr flood plain
£ Limits of construction
g. Areas not to be disturbed
h. Erosion and Sedimentation Controls
i. Tree protection measures
j. Construction phasing, if applicable
k. Erosion, Sedimentation, and Tree Protection notes and details
B. Deliverables
1. Provide three (3) copies of the SWPPP in hard copy format for Contractor use.
2. Provide one (1) copy of the SWPPP in digital format (Microsoft Word 2000 (.doc) and
AutoCAD (.dwg)) for Contractor use.
C. Additional Services
Additional services shall consist of those elements identified in the original scope of work for the
Contract
H. Excluded Services
Excluded services shall consist of those elements identified in the original scope of work for the
Contract.

for the Greater Lake Creek Park Development Project.

construction of the Greater Lake Creek Park Trail
Development.

Outside Resources: Halff Associates, Inc.
Background Information: The Greater Lake Creek Park Project involves
three existing park properties and several
parcels of land that the City already has or will
acquire through the platting process of new
neighborhoods. Clay Madsen Park, Greenlawn
Park, and Lake Creek Park will all receive
improvements in the form of new development
and/or renovations. These three parks will
also be connected with a hike & bike trail. Also
included in this project will be the City's first
dog park and inline hockey facility. This
project is partially funded by a Texas Parks and
Wildlife Dept. (TPWD) Grant and a LCRA
Partnership in Parks Grant.
