CM-1996-001AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK AND THE BRAZOS RIVER AUTHORITY FOR PARTICIPATION IN AND FUNDING OF THE WILLIAMSON COUNTY HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 1996 The City of Round Rock ("City") hereby elects to participate as a "Local Sponsor" in the Williamson County Household Hazardous Waste Collection ("Collection") to be coordinated by the Brazos River Authority ("Authority"), and the City further agrees to pay $5,000 for the Collection by February 29, 1996, in advance of the Collection. In the event unused funds remain after the Collection, the remaining funds will be used for additional projects in Williamson County related to Household Hazardous Waste collection and/or management. The Authority agrees to be the entity responsible for taking all actions necessary to cause the Collection to be conducted, for the preparation and distribution of a post -event report, and will use its best efforts to complete the Collection and report by May 31, 1996. The obligations of the City and the Authority under this Agreement are contingent upon the Authority: (i) being able to enter into a contract with Laidlaw Environmental Services (TES), Inc. for the collection, packaging, transportation, and disposal of household hazardous wastes related to the Collection; (ii) being able to receive appropriate approvals for the Collection from the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission; and (iii) being able to enter into agreements similar to this Agreement with other local sponsors so as to obtain funds from local sponsors in the amounts listed below: Entity Funding Amount County of Williamson $10,000 (excludes TNRCC grant funds) City of Georgetown $ 5,000 City of Round Rock $ 5,000 City of Cedar Park $ 3,000 Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District $ 2,000 Anderson Mill Municipal Utility District $ 3,000 M 9 0 0 / In the event that the Collection is not held by June 30, 1996, this Agreement is null and void and your contribution will be returned.
