The parks 645 acres is host to selveral large annual festivals, including the July 4th Froutier Days can draw in excess the 20,00 citzens from lhroughtout the region. The system would include multiple notifications methods, include voice, audiable tones from pole mounted sirens.The system would provide City of Round Round the capiablity to warn patrons in the immediate area and give timely, accurate information with regards to protective actions to take. Currently the City of Round Rock does not have a method of warning partons of Old Settlers Park that may be in a threatening area. The park's 645 acres is host to several large annual festivals, including the July e Frontier Days with can draw in excess of 20,000 citizens from throughout the region. It is also used for disc golf, cricket, 20 -field baseball complex, 5 -field softball complex, soccer facilities, etc. The Park also surrounds the Dell Diamond Baseball Stadium which is home to the Round Rock Express Minor League baseball team. The stadium can hold approximately 8,700 fans and is full most of the week in the spring and summer months. The proposed system will bean all hazards warning system that can provide situational awareness, timely warning and public notification to the citizens in the park and the patrons of the ballpark. The system would include mutliple notification methods, including voice, audible tones from pole mounted sirens. EHP will be submitted by the due date. The City of Round Rock is susceptible to various natural hazards that might affect citizens in Old Settler's Park, including severe thunderstorms, flash flooding, hail, strong winds, and tornadoes. In addition to these natural hazards, any time there is a large number of people gathered there is the threat of criminal/terroristic activity. The system would provide the City with the capability to warn patrons in the immediate area and give timely, accurate information with regards to protective actions to take. Public information and warning is identified in Objective 3.9 of the Texas Homeland Security Stratetic Plan - 2015 Implementation Plan; is identified as a core capability in the THIRA and the SPR. Currently, The City of Round Rock does not have a method of warning patrons of Old Settler's Park and the Dell Diamond of hazards that may be threatening the area. This project would provide for a system that could give timely, accuarate information to citizens in the area. This project would provide a method of warning the patrons of Old Settler's Park and The Dell Diamond of an impending threat. The sirens will be capable of producing audible tones and voice instructions.
