R-2015-2633 - 7/9/2015 RESOLUTION NO. R-2015-2633 WHEREAS, the Historic Preservation Commission ("HPC") for the City of Round Rock conducted a public hearing on November 18, 2014 regarding two new windows installed at 114 E. Main Street(the"Windows"); and WHEREAS, on November 18, 2014, the HPC denied a Certificate of Appropriateness relative to the Windows; and WHEREAS, the owner of 114 E. Main Street has opted to appeal the decision of the HPC, pursuant to Section 46-73 of the Code; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the lessors/occupants of 114 E. Main Street have made reasonable attempts to modify the Windows to make them more historically appropriate; and WHEREAS, in the spirit of compromise, the City Council approves the appeal request, Now Therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,TEXAS, That the City Council hereby adopts the Order with regard to the appeal of the denial of certificate of appropriateness for 114 E. Main Street, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein for all purposes. Main Street (the "Windows"); WHEREAS, the Windows are located on the rear fagade of a new addition; WHEREAS, the Windows were installed prior to obtaining a certificate of appropriateness; WHEREAS, the Windows are not in conformance with the guidelines set forth in City of Round Rock Code of Ordinances, Section 46-99; WHEREAS, on November 28, 2014, the Historic Preservation Commission denied a Certificate of Appropriateness relative to the Windows; WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the lessors/occupants of 114 E. Main Street have made reasonable attempts to modify the Windows to make them more historically appropriate; WHEREAS, in the spirit of compromise, the City Council approves the appeal request; and THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF ROUND ROCK THAT: 1. The appeal of the Historic Preservation Commission's denial of Certificate of Appropriateness in this matter is granted; and 2.
