THE STATE OF TEXAS, ) COUNTY OF WILLIAMSON. ) On this 9th day of May A D 1916, the town council of the town of Round Rock, Williamson County, Texas, waiuri aas here uus or(: uecn incorporated as a town or village under the general laws of the State of Texas, met in regular session at the usual meeting place, present and presiding F D Caswell, mayor, of said town, and present all members of said council, to -wit; J A Nelson, W E Hena, S L Landrum, Dr W G Weber and present also Jack Jordan, Secretary, of said town of Round Rock, when, the following resolution was duly read and adopted by a majority of two thirds of said council, to -wit; THE STATE OF TEXAS, ) COUNTY OF .'VILLIAMSON.) Be it resolved by the town council of the town or village of Round Rock, Williamson County, Texas, that said town or village of Round Rock, which town or village contains more than six hundred inhabitants, accepts the provision of Title 22, Chapter 1, of the revised Civil Statutes of 1911, as amended by Chapter 34, Article 762, page 64, of the General laws of the State of Texas, passed by the 34th Legislature at its Regular Session, convened Jany 12th 1915, and adjorned March 20th 1915. And be it further resolved that said town of Round Rock accepts the provision of said Article 762 last above named in lieu of and to take the place of the provisions of the laws of this state relating to towns ans villages, so that hereafter the town or village of Round Rock, shall be considered and shall be as though it has incorpora4ed as a city of town. Be it further resolved that said town or village and the inhaditants thereof so accepting the provisions of this title shall continue to be a body corporate with perpetual sec.cession, by the name and style by which age was known before the acceptance of the provisions of this title, and as such they and their successors by that name, Round Rock, shall have exercise and enjoy all the rights immunities, powers privileges and franchises possessed and enjoyed by the same at the time of the acceptance of the provisions of this title, and those herein granted and conferred, and shall be subject to all the duties and obligations pertaining and emcumbered on the same as a corporation at the time of the acceptance of the provisions of said Title, and may ordain and est- ablish suck acts, laws, regulations and ordinances not inconsistent with the Constitution and Lewes of this State as ahll be needful for the government, interes�q welfare and good order of said body pplitic, and under the same, and shall be known in law and be capable of contracting and being contracted with, suing and being sued, im- pleading and being impleaded, answering and being answered unto in all courts and places and in all matters whatever, may take hold and purchase, lease grant and convey, such real and personal or mixed property or estate as the provisions of the corporation may require within of without the limits thereof and may make, have and use a corporate seal and change and renew the same at pleasure. It being the intention of this resolution to accept the provision of Title 22, of the Revised Civil Statutes of 1911, as amended by acts of the 34th Legislature, Chapter 34, of the General saws approved Mch 5th 1915, for and on behalf of said municipality of Round Rock, Williamson County, Texas.
