Re: City of Round Rock
SFY 2010 CWSRF IUP Project
Project Information Form
Dear Ms. Vanecek:
Please see the attached completed project information form from the City of
Round Rock for funding through the FY 2010 Clean Water State Revolving
Fund. We serve a culturally rich and active municipality which is one of the
fastest growing communities in the State. The scope of our project is to increase
conveyance capacity and distribution in order to provide adequate water supply
and pressure for existing and future city demand by building and operating an
extensive reclaimed (wastewater reuse) water system.
This project includes treatment, disinfection, and pumping facilities for up to 6
million gallons of reuse water per day as well as an 8,400 linear feet transmission
main to deliver water through Old Settlers Park. The reuse water will greatly
reduce our dependence on potable water for large irrigation purposes.
Submitted for eligibility and ranking are the Intended Use Plan Worksheet CW -
007 detailing our demographics, general scope, and cost estimates; and a CCN
Coverage Map providing the full area of service for the City of Round Rock. In
addition, our description of the project's construction start time is very realistic,
and we would like to be considered for stimulus money if possible.
Please feel free to contact me for further information, documentation, or
questions regarding our proposed reclaimed water project at (512) 218-3236.
Sincerely,
Michael D. Thane, P.E.

This project consists of improvements at the Regional 1MNTP including treatment, disinfection and pumping facilities
that will provide Type I Reuse water to Old Settler's Park. The first phase of these facilities will have a firm capacity of 3
million gallons per day. The project also includes a transmission main to get the reuse water through the park property.
The park currently uses over 1.25 million gallons of water per day (MGD) peak day summer use. This project along with
future phases of this Reclaimed water system will provide 10 MGD. The city is pursuing a partial federal
reimbursement grant through the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation for the Reclaimed water system.
