Text of Legislative File CM -2015-1000
Consider executing Supplemental Contract No. 1 with MWM DesignGroup for the
Greenlawn Storm Drain Project.
The City previously entered into an Engineering Services Contract with MWM
DesignGroup to design storm drainage system improvements in the vicinity of the
intersection of Greenlawn Boulevard and Gattis School Road. These improvements will
help with alleviating flooding that has been experienced in the past at the intersection;
and at the commercial properties immediately to the northeast of the intersection.
Based on the analysis already undertaken by MWM, it appears that extending the
previously contemplated storm drainage system north to the intersection of Greenlawn
Boulevard and Parkside Circle would provide better storm water capture resulting in a
more effective project. This supplemental contract will provide the additional
engineering services required for the storm drainage system extension.
The original Engineering Services Contract provided for a maximum payment of
$33,509; this supplement will increase the contract to a maximum of $40,908.
Staff recommends approval.
