M - Judge Dain Jay Johnson - Owner
Remarks: (Use extra page if necessary)
The search for a 64 year-old, two-bedroom, one -bath with 1,247 square feet meeting functionally equivalent decent, safe, and
sanitary requirements comparable housing was difficult. In this regard, our search for comparable housing included houses in
a wider range that were also in decent, safe, and sanitary condition.
Special needs on this displaced person: Dain Jay Johnson is a Justice of the Peace and must reside in Precinct 1 in which he
represents. Finding comparables to his home and property that are being acquired has been difficult because they have been
out of his district. I was able to find some comps which are larger in square footage but compare more to the lot size that is
being acquired, which he stated was most important due to the fact that he has three dogs and that these homes are in Precinct
1.
The search for the comparable housing included three and four bedroom homes. We feel that Comparable #3 is the closest in
comparison to the subject based on it being exact in lot size as the subject since that is very important to him, the number of
rooms are closest to subject, the proximity is close, has a detached outside storage unit same as subject. Although this
comparable is larger than the subject. The comparable is on a corner lot with access to two streets, is newer, has central heat
and air, and is of better quality and condition. Therefore, for the reasons listed, we feel that the comparable chosen is the best
choice and would provide the relocatee with a better condition than where he presently resides.
The supplemental payment(s) on page 1 have been determined by me and are to be used in connection with a federal -aid
highway project. The replacement housing used for these supplement computations are certified to be fair housing open to all
persons regardless of race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin or handicap and consistent with the requirements of Title
VIII of the Civil Rights Act of 1968. I have no direct nor indirect, present or contemplated interest in this transaction nor will
I derive any benefit from the supplemental payment.
