Word, P.E., Chief of Public Works Operations Justification: SWCA Environmental Consultants will conduct an intensive archaeological and historic structures survey of the proposed Main Street Extension Project. The project will include the construction of approximately 600 linear feet of new roadway, consisting of a bridge over Lake Creek with curb and gutter, storm sewers and utility adjustments, sidewalks for pedestrians and accommodates for access to a future trail along Lake Creek. The project Area of Potential Effects (APE) for archaeological resources is defined as the approximately 600 foot long, 300 foot wide new roadway. The APE for historic resources, utilizing TxDOT standards extends for an additional 150 feet beyond the 300 foot wide project area boundary and includes the entirety of any legal parcel of land crossed by the project area.
