General Program Information
What is the Clean Air Partners Program?
The Clean Air Partners Program (CAPP) is a partnership of local employers working together to make Central Texas more liveable and healthy.
CAPP is a voluntary recognition program for employers who pledge to making clean air commitments.
By pledging to meet two attainable commitments, Partners reduce unhealthy, polluting ground -level ozone in Central Texas.
Becoming a Clean Air Partner gives Central Texas employers the advantage of joining other local environmental leaders working toward cleaner air for our community.
Benefits
As a Clean Air Partner, you will receive multiple benefits.
These benefits include financial savings, employee satisfaction and retention, and earned public recognition for your environmental leadership and activities.
Some of these benefits and incentives include:
• Free training, assistance and guidance from the Program Manager to achieve clean air goals
• Financial benefits via costs savings, tax benefits, etc. from implemented programs

• Must be located within the 5 -county Central Texas region (Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis and/or Williamson Counties).

Membership Requirements
Clean Air Parnters are required to select a set of attainable clean air commitments (emission reduction strategies) that are reported annually to the program.
Partners commit to reducing their emissions by at least 10% within a three-year period.
Annual Reporting
Clean Air Partners report their successes once a year via a user-friendly Reporting Website.
This website calculates each Partner's annual emission reductions and tracks their progress toward their 3 -year reduction goal.
Partners are given recognition for their reported reductions each year via local advertisement and promotional materials.

Item Summary:
The Clean Air Partners Program (CAPP) is an effort coordinated by the Clean Air Force of Central Texas in which
employers voluntarily agree to reduce their emissions of ozone precursor chemicals by 10% during the following 3
year period. The benefits to the employer include annual recognition as a CAPP partner, as well as the benefits
experienced from a cleaner environment. Examples of steps which can be taken to reduce our emission of ozone
precursors include promoting ride share programs for employees, providing alternative work schedules, increased
use of "clean" diesel fuels in our fleets, and increasing the number of employees who utilize direct deposit. By
joining the CAPP, the City of Round Rock will be aligning with many governmental agencies in Central Texas,
including the City of Austin, Travis County and Williamson County, along with major employers such as Dell, to show
our united support and efforts to improve the air quality in our region.
