Item Summary:
This Supplemental Agreement includes enlarging detention and water quality pond to accommodate runoff from the
Lewis property at the southwest corner of Galloping Road and Emmanuel Road; survey staking of proposed
easement and location of new railroad signal control box and grade modifications; staking of right-of-way limits
every 100 -ft within limits of the project area and geologic assessment for the water quality pond site.

PROJECT: Redesign of Sam Bass Road from Meadows Drive to IH -35
This Supplemental Agreement No. 7 to Agreement for Engineering Services is made by and
between the City of Round Rock, Texas, hereinafter called the "City" and MWM Design Group
(Formerly Martinez Wright & Mendez, Inc.), hereinafter called the `Engineer".
WHEREAS, the City and Engineer executed an Agreement for Engineering Services,
hereinafter called the "Agreement", on the 8th day of May, 2003 for the Redesign of Sam Bass
Road from Meadows Drive to IH -35 in the amount of $66,271.00; and
WHEREAS, the City and Engineer executed Supplemental Agreement No. 1 on September 11,
2003 to amend the scope of services and to increase the compensation by $16,305.00 to a total of
$82,576.00; and
WHEREAS, the City and Engineer executed Supplemental Agreement No. 2 on September 23,
2004 to extend the contract date; and
WHEREAS, the City and Engineer executed Supplemental Agreement No. 3 on February 10,
2005 to amend the scope of services and to increase the compensation by $67,862.00 to a total of
$150,438.00; and
WHEREAS, the City and Engineer executed Supplemental Agreement No. 4 on December 18,
2008 to amend the scope of services and to increase the compensation by $51,840.00 to a total of
$202,278.00; and
WHEREAS, the City and Engineer executed Supplemental Agreement No. 5 on August 14,
2009 to amend the scope of services and to increase the compensation by $40,713.62 to a total of
$242,991.62; and
WHEREAS, the City and Engineer executed Supplemental Agreement No. 6 on February 5,
2010 to amend the scope of services and to increase the compensation by $25,573.02 to a total of
$268,564.64; and

WHEREAS, it has become necessary to amend the Agreement to modify the provisions for the
scope of services and to modify the compensation by $41,216.29 to a total of $309,780.93, and
NOW THEREFORE, premises considered, the City and the Engineer agree that said
Agreement is amended as follows:
I.
Article 2, Scope Of Services To Be Performed By Engineer and Exhibit B. Services To Be
Performed By The Engineer shall be amended as set forth in the attached Addendum To Exhibit
B. Exhibit C, Work Schedule shall be amended as set forth in the attached Addendum to Exhibit
C.

Article 4, Compensation and Exhibit D, Fee Schedule shall be amended by increasing by
$41,216.29 the lump sum amount payable under the Agreement for a total of $309,780.93, as
shown by the attached Addendum to Exhibit D.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City and the Engineer have executed this Supplemental
Agreement in duplicate.

ADDENDUM TO EXHIBIT B
Services to be Performed by the Engineer
The Engineer shall provide the following engineering services for the preparation of the
construction plans, specifications and cost opinion (Professional Surveying & Engineering
Services) for Supplemental Amendment #7:
Item I
• Addition to design scope - enlarge detention and water quality pond to accommodate runoff
from the Lewis property at the southwest corner of Galloping Rd and Emmanuel Rd
(assumed 85% impervious cover for the whole property). Accordingly, update drainage
area snap and calculations to reflect this change on the plan sheets and Water Pollution
Abatement Plan (WPAP) application to TCEQ.
Item 2
• Design coordination (includes office meetings and site visits) with City and adjacent
project consultants to address new round of final review comments to complete plan
submittal and revise project manual with updated City front-end documents, forms and
specifications.
Item 3
• Addition to design scope - survey staking of proposed easement, currently in negotiation
to be acquired by the City, and location of new railroad signal control box and grade
modifications. Addition to construction administration services — staking of right-of-way
limits every 100 -ft within limits of the project area.
Item 4
• Addition to design scope - Sub -consultant (Baer Engineering, Inc.) fee for Geologic
Assessment for the Water Quality pond site, as per TCEQ requirements.
Item 5
• Adjustment to Construction Administration Services fee per addition to design scope
related to Supplemental Assessment #4 through Supplemental Assessment #6.
