membership due to fiscal year 2011 budget constraints.

Residents and visitors will have alternative choices for transportation including public transportation options,
pedestrian/biking options and personal vehicle.

Dear Chairman Covington:
Thank you for asking the City of Round Rock to become a member of the Lone Star
Rail District. Joining the District was considered in the City's budget process, but
was not included in the City's approved FY 2010-2011 budget.
The City is aware of the consequences of not joining the District, but FY 2010-2011
is a tight budget year requiring fiscal constraint. Again, thank you for asking the
City of Round Rock to join the District.
