Council previously awarded the construction contract to Austin Underground, Inc. for $250,949. The project is substantially complete and this quantity adjustment/change order reconciles the final amount due to the contractor. The quantity adjustment reduces/adds quantities (as appropriate) to reconcile the bid plan quantity with actual constructed quantities (+$122.20). The change order adds a new item for the ductile iron waterline pipe at $7,402.50 which was installed in lieu of PVC C900 waterline pipe that was deducted in the quantity change. The final contract amount increases $7,525.00 to $258,474.00 resulting in a 3% increase to the contract. This project was identified during the City's Storm Water Master Plan. The old culverts consisted of multiple corrugated metal pipes that crossed under Purple Sage Drive and were in need of replacement to prevent street flooding and damage to existing City infrastructure. The corrugated metal pipes were replaced with two 6 -foot x 5 -foot concrete box culverts to adequately convey the storm water and reduce the frequency and depth of flooding in this area. Staff recommends approval. City o1 Round Rock Page 1 Printed on 11712016
