R-2014-1438 - 5/22/2014 t RESOLUTION NO. R-2014-1438 WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Justice has grant funds available to cities for various law enforcement projects, and WHEREAS, the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program grant funds are available through the Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance, and WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock wishes to make application for the available funds to purchase a video forensics computer system for the White Collar Crimes Unit, and WHEREAS, the City Council designates the City Manager as the City's authorized official with power to apply for the grant, including making online application, on behalf of the applicant agency,the City of Round Rock, Texas,Now Therefore k BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK,TEXAS, That the City Manager is designated as the authorized official to make application, including making online application, and is hereby directed to make application for the Edward Byrne Memorial s Justice Assistance Grant (JAG), a copy of said Application being attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein for all purposes. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended.
