City of Round Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau worked with Sertoma to bid on and were awarded to host the
2011 PONY softball Nationals. This event supports our tourism industry, as well as our "Sports Capital of Texas"
branding campaign. TexasTrustFunds.com will provide Economic and Tax Impact Study for this event.

CONSULTING AGREEMENT
BETWEEN DON HOYTE, PH.D. (CONSULTANT)
AND
CITY OF ROUND ROCK, ROUND ROCK, TEXAS (CLIENT)
City of Round Rock (client), as the host municipality for the 2011 PONY Softball Nationals to
be held in Round Rock, Texas from July 19 - 28, 2011, agrees to pay Don Hoyte, Ph.D. of
TexasTrustFunds.com for an Economic and Tax Impact Study for this event under the Events
Trust Fund submitted to the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.
Consultant shall prepare the preliminary study no later than March 14, 2011 and work with the
client and host municipality to meet the requirements for funding under the Events Trust Fund or
similar trust fund statutes prior to the event. Consultant shall also assist client and host
municipality or other sponsoring organization in meeting the requirements of the Trust Fund
after the event.
The agreed fee due consultant for preparation of these documents and other consulting services
shall be determined by the amount of state and local funds approved by the Comptroller for the
event under the trust fund statutes for the 2011 PONY Softball Nationals based on the following
fee schedule:
Amount of Trust Fund Fee
under $15,000 $1,500
$15,001 to $100,000 Lesser of 10% or $7,500
$100,001 to $200,000 $10,000
$200,001 to $500,000 $15,000
$500,001 to $750,000 $20,000
$750,001 to $1,000,000 $25,000
This consulting fee shall become due 10 days following the sponsoring organization directly or
indirectly submitting their first receipts to the Comptroller for reimbursement under the Trust
Fund and shall be payable from funds received from the trust funds.
