Approval Date: June 3, 2011 Department: Planning and Development Services Department Project Manager: Peter Wysocki, AICP, Planning and Development Services Director Lee Heckman, AICP, Principal Planner Item Summary: As with the other easement release requests, this request also involves the release of utility easement that is no longer necessary. The difference in comparison with the other two is that this involves only a portion of the existing easement. The existing wastewater line easement dates to 1982, prior to the Vista 620 Subdivision, which was approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission in 2007. Located on the north side of Round Rock Avenue between Oaklands Drive and the intersection of Deep Wood Drive and Round Rock Avenue, the project only recently completed subdivision and site improvements. To accommodate infrastructure and site improvements, and to facilitate future building development, a portion of the existing wastewater line was relocated. An easement to accommodate the relocated line was dedicated this Spring. Because the existing line was relocated, and because the applicant, Vista 620 Partners, LLC., wishes to use the space encumbered by the existing easement for vertical development, the applicant requests that portion of the easement be released. Staff concurs with the request that this portion of the easement be released.
