July 1, 2011 Department: Planning and Development Services Department Project Manager: Peter Wysocki, AICP, Planning and Development Services Director Lee Heckman, AICP, Principal Planner Item Summary: This is a request for the release of a waterline easement that was dedicated in error. Over the past several years, the Round Rock High School (on Round Rock Avenue) has been undergoing major and multi -phased site renovations. As part of these site improvements, new water and wastewater lines were installed and easements containing these infrastructure improvements were dedicated to the City earlier this Spring. As part of completing the project, or "project closeout," Development Services staff required that the applicant request various easements be released, as they were no longer required. Two such easements were released earlier this month. This easement release request addresses a different issue. One of the new easements dedicated earlier this year included an incorrect set of field notes. A corrected replacement easement has been dedicated, and this release simply nullifies the erroneous easement. Staff concurs with the request the easement be released.
