Item Summary:
This is a request to release a portion of a Public Utility Easement (PUE) at the rear of the property. At the time the property was
platted in 1995, a 20 -feet wide PUE was dedicated along the northern perimeter of the subdivision. Additionally, 10 -feet wide
PUEs were dedicated along all interior side lot lines (with 5 feet on either side of the lot line), 15 -feet wide PUEs at the front of all
lots, and 7.5 -feet wide PUEs along all rear lot lines. When developed, water and wastewater service was available from the
street, as are most other utilities. There is an overhead electrical line in the vicinity of the rear lot line, however that is physically
located on the abutting property, and only parallels the rear lot line for approximately 15 feet.
The owner requests a portion of the easement be released in order to replace an existing patio cover that encroaches into the
easement. The owner was advised to seek the easement's release at the time a permit application was submitted. This request,
when granted, will release a portion of the 20 -feet wide PUE that runs along the rear of the lot, but not the area that is also
covered by the PUEs that lie along the side lot lines.
All utility providers and city staff concur with the release request.

That the CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, a municipal corporation situated in the Counties of
Travis and Williamson, State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of Ten and No/100 Dollars
($10.00) and other good and valuable consideration paid by KEVIN LAWRENCE and CATHERINE
LAWRENCE, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, does hereby ABANDON,
RELEASE and DISCHARGE only the below -described portion of that certain 20 -feet wide Public Utility
Easement of record in Cabinet L, Slide 387 of the Real Property Records of Williamson County, Texas,
to -wit:
See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, describing approximately 1150 square feet, being
the southernmost 10 feet of a 20 feet wide Public Utility Easement dedicated by plat along the northern
property line of Lot 36, Block C, Forest Creek Phase III, as dedicated in Cabinet L, Slide 387, SAVE
AND EXCEPT that portion which also is encumbered by a 7.5 feet wide Public Utility Easement
dedicated by same said plat, along the east side property line, and as depicted on the accompanying
sketch; and
See "Sketch to Accompany Description" attached hereto and made a part hereof for all intents and
purposes hereunto and in any wise pertaining, showing such easement.
This instrument is given specifically to release the described portion of said easement, which
portion of said easement is terminated by abandonment, termination, vacation, and cessation of purpose,
and which portion of said easement will be of no further effect, whether legal or equitable.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City of Round Rock, Texas has caused this instrument entitled
