This letter is to formally request permission for the members of the Round Rock Fire
Department to participate in the 2012 "Fill the Boot" campaign to benefit the Muscular
Dystrophy Association (MDA). Fire Departments from throughout the state of Texas and
around the country collect contributions in their boots annually for MDA. To remain compliant
with Round Rock City Code Sec. 28-55 and Senate Bill No. 245, we are including information
related to the dates, times, and locations our members will be collecting for MDA.
The Round Rock Fire Fighters will be collecting September 12 -14 and September 26 - 28 at
various locations throughout the city. Collection times will vary between 8:30 am to 6:00 pm.
This event will be held in accordance with the requirements of the Sean McKinnis Charitable
Solicitation Law enacted on April 5, 2005 by the State of Texas. The City of Round Rock will be
listed as an additional insured on the $1,000,000 blanket insurance policy provided by MDA.
