The City of Austin, Texas is the Recipient for the UASI grant. By Resolution No. R -10-01-28-10C1, the City Council of the City of Round Rock authorized the City Manager to sign all travel and reimbursement documentation related to Homeland Security, covering travel for grant - related activities funded through the State Preparedness Assessment and Reporting Service (SPARS), including out-of-state travel. This is a continuous 48-hour exercise in which first responders are deployed to some 30 different scenario sites across ten counties. Sites address critical infrastructure concerns and regional tactical, medical, fire, and explosive ordnance response to criti- cal incidents. Bradford will work as staff member in the scenario on which the Round Rock Urban Shield scenario is based.
