Item Summary:
The University Boulevard at Sunrise Road, Sandy Brook Improvements, and Oakmont Drive Improvements Project includes
construction of pavement widening, intersection improvements, water line improvements, and modifications to an existing
traffic signal. The City Council awarded Patin Construction, LLC the construction contract for the amount of $644,785.20.
Quantity Adjustment/Change Order (QA/CO) No. 1 was to cover the cost of labor and materials for the night time shut down to
replace a water line at Sandy Brook Drive and Satellite Drive at the cost of $4,475. QA/CO No. 2 added sub -grade preparation to
the contract and adjusts the quantities for HMAC Type B PG64-22 and flexible base at a cost of of $143,962. QA/CO No. 3 added
$5,000 to the contract for the mobilization charge and cost of asphalt for the final phase of paving University Boulevard at
Sunrise Road. At the City's request, the contractor rescheduled the final paving so that the completion of the project would not
be delayed for two additional weeks.
QA/CO No. 4 is a deduction of $61,073.40 for final quantity adjustments at University Boulevard at Sunrise Road and
improvements on Sandy Brook Drive. A change order in the amount of $3,000 is for the replacement of the irrigation system
near the sidewalk at the Goddard School. The cost of QA/CO No. 4 is -$58,073.40.
The total cost of the construction contract would be $740,148.80.
