Phase IV -A of the Reuse Waterline Improvements Project continues the City's efforts to provide
reuse water to the developing northeast area of Round Rock. The original Professional Services
Contract was for design and construction phase services for this project. This project will extend the
existing Reuse Waterline - Phase III, constructed with the Avery Center Project, north from the
Austin Community College Campus along College Park Drive approximately 2,900 feet. It will
terminate south of University Boulevard at a proposed reuse waterline and tank easement, where a
future reuse waterline and elevated tank will be constructed under the Phase IV -B Project. The
Phase IV -A waterline will be financed by the City and is to be built in conjunction with the developers
widening of College Park Drive in the Avery Center. The Avery Center construction has fallen
behind schedule, and it is necessary to continue forward with the design, bidding, and construction
of Phase IV -A.
This Supplemental Contract No. 1 for $8,000 includes the costs of the preparation of Project
Documents, Construction Plans, and Bidding Phase services that would have been accounted for in
the budget for the College Park Drive project. It also adds another 365 days to the contract.
Staff recommends approval.
