Sheets December 16, 2013 Mike Petter General Manager Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District Re: Sam Bass Road at Creek bend Blvd turn lane improvements and BCMUD Transmission water line conflict Dear Mr. Petter: As you are aware, during construction of roadway improvements at the intersection of Sam Bass Road and Creek Bend Boulevard, a conflict was discovered with a transmission waterline that is owned and operated by the Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District (Brushy Creek MUD). This conflict will require the line to be lowered in its current alignment, such that the new right turn lane can be constructed over the line, with the appropriate cover. As part of this relocation, the line will be upgraded from AC to ductal iron through the project limits; approximately 1,200 feet. The City of Round Rock understands that this transmission line is in an existing waterline easement, which obligates the City of Round Rock to pay for any changes, including engineering, third party engineering review, construction, and inspection, all to the owner's satisfaction. Subsequently, through this letter the City of Round Rock commits to reimburse Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District up to $5,000.00 (five thousand dollars), for any costs associated with the review and inspection of this relocation.
