AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A PARTIAL EXEMPTION FROM AD VALOREM
TAXES FOR CERTAIN QUALIFIED HISTORICALLY SIGNIFICANT
PROPERTIES LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF ROUND ROCK,
TEXAS; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND REPEALING CONFLICTING
ORDINANCES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS:
I.
That the owners of the following real properties, described in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto, have complied with Chapter 11, Section
4.S., Code of Ordinances, City of Round Rock, Texas.
II.
That the real properties described in Exhibit "A" be granted an
exemption of seventy-five percent (75%) of the assessed value of the
structure and land for the year 1990, pursuant to the provisions of
Chapter 11, Section 4.S., Code of Ordinances, City of Round Rock, Texas.
A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in
conflict herewith are expressly repealed.
B. The invalidity of any section or provision of this ordinance
shall not invalidate other sections or provisions thereof. /

ITEM 24C. Consider an ordinance establishing tax abatement for certain historic
properties, (Second Reading)

STAFF RECOMMENDATION Approval of 21 applications for Historic Tax Abatement.
The HPC recommended approval of 21 applications. All these applications meet the present
criteria, which states that the structure be maintained in accordance with minimum property,
structural and health standards. In some instances, applicants were required to submit records
detailing the amount of exterior improvements in excess of the proposed tax abatement.
Total tax abatement will equal $8,726.00 based on 1990 assessed value and a city tax rate of .4836.
