O-2016-3333 - 4/14/2016I ORDINANCE NO. 0-2016-3333 2 3 4 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 30, SECTION 30-2, CODE OF 5 ORDINANCES (2010 EDITION), CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, 6 REGARDING SIGN REGULATION IN THE BRUSHY CREEK 7 MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT; AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS 8 CLAUSE AND REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND 9 RESOLUTIONS. 10 I I BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, 12 TEXAS: 13 I. 14 That Chapter 30, Section 30-2, Subsection (a), Code of Ordinances (2010 15 Edition), City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows: 16 (a) Applicability 17 (1) A sign may be erected, placed, established, painted, created or maintained in the City of Round 18 Rock and its extraterritorial jurisdiction only in conformance with the standards, procedures, 19 exemptions, and other requirements of this chapter. 20 (2) Pursuant to the terms of V.T.C.A., Local Government Code § 216.902, the provisions of this 21 chapter 30 regulating signs shall be enforced in, and extended to the city's area of 22 extraterritorial jurisdiction, except as provided below. 23 (3) The provisions of this chapter 30 shall not be enforced in that portion of the city's extraterritorial 24 jurisdiction that is located in the Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District and that is also located 25 more than 150 feet from the public right-of-way of RM Highway 620 or FM 1431. 26 27 II. 28 29 A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in conflict herewith are 3o expressly repealed. 31 B. The invalidity of any section or provision of this ordinance shall not 32 invalidate other sections or provisions thereof. 33 C.
