Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Supplemental Contract No. 1 to the Contract for Engineering Services with Gray, Jansing & Associates, Inc. for the Stone Oak Booster Pump Station Project. Department: Water and Wastewater Utilities Staff Person: Tom Clark, Director of Utilities Justification: Supplemental Contract No.1 is for construction phase services that were not included in the original Gray Jansing & Associates Professional Services Contract. The project has required additional periodic site visits by the engineer, revised construction plans and pump requirements due to changes in the existing utility locations, and final concurrence from the engineer that the pump station has been built according to the plans and specifications. Funding: Cost: $7,105.52 Source of funds: Capital Project Funds (Self -Financed Utility) Outside Resources: Gray Jansing & Associates (Engineering Consultant) Blake Magee Company (Developer Villages at Mayfield Ranch) Continental Homes (Developer Preserve at Stone Oak) Background Information: The City has experienced low water pressure in the Preserve at Stone Oak Subdivision north of FM 1431. These water pressure problems have been evident to the residents living in the higher elevation areas of the subdivision. A booster pump station with a hydropneumatic tank has been designed and built to pump from the existing 1431 standpipe and increase the water pressure for approximately 720 homes and lots in the Preserve at Stone Oak and Village at Mayfield Ranch subdivisions on the northwest side of the City. This project is a cost share between Millburn Homes and Blake McGee Company.
