Z-05-06-23-13C2 - 6/23/2005ORDINANCE NO. 2- 65-010-023-13C AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 11, SECTIONS 11.401, 11.415.2, 11.423, 11.502 AND 11.505, CODE OF ORDINANCES (1995 EDITION), CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, TO REFERENCE THE APPROPRIATE PUBLIC FACILITY DISTRICT; AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: I. Chapter 11, Section 11.401(1), Code of Ordinances (1995 Edition), City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows: 11.401 ESTABLISHMENTS OF DISTRICTS (1) Districts For the purpose of this Zoning Ordinance, portions of the City, as specified on the Official Zoning Map of the City are hereby divided into the following zoning districts: BASE ZONING DISTRICTS Residential Zoning Districts SF -R Single Family - Rural SF -1 Single Family - Large Lot SF -2 Single Family - Standard Lot MH Manufactured Housing TF Two Family TH Townhouse MF Multifamily Commercial Zoning Districts C-1 General Commercial C-2 Employment OF Local Commercial Zoning Districts Office BP Business Park LI Light Industrial I industrial Special Purpose Zoning Districts @PFDesktop\::ODMA/WORLDOX/O:/WDOX/ORDINANC/050623C2.WPD/vr PF -1 Public Facilities - Low Intensity PF -2 Public Facilities - Medium Intensity PF -3 Public Facilities - High Intensity SR Senior MI Mining OS Open Space PUD OVERLAY H Planned Unit Develo i ment ZONING DISTRICTS Historic Overlay CT Chisholm Trail Overlay PV Palm Valley Overlay II. Chapter 11, Section 11.415.2(3)(f), Code of Ordinances (1995 Edition), City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows: 11.415.2 PF -3 (PUBLIC FACILITIES - HIGH INTENSITY) DISTRICT (3) Density and Development Standards (f) Outdoor Storage and Display Limited outdoor storage is allowed in the PF -3 (Public Facilities - High Intensity) District. These regulations are located in Section 11.505. III. Chapter 11, Section 11.423.(13)(b), Code of Ordinances (1995 Edition), City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows: 11.423 SUPPLEMENTARY USE STANDARDS (13) Group Living (b) Group living facilities in the PF -3 district shall comply with State of Texas licensing requirements. 2 IV. Chapter 11, Section 11.502(11)(a), Code of Ordinances (1995 Edition), City of Round Rock, Texas., is hereby amended to read as follows: 11.502 OFF-STREET PARKING AND LOADING (11) Parking and Storage of Large Vehicles and Equipment (a) Outdoor storage or overnight outdoor parking of tractor -trailers, semi -trucks, semi -trailers, or other vehicles having a gross vehicle weight rating of 17,000 pounds or more, shall not be permitted in any residential district or in the C-1, C-2, OF, PF -1, PF -2, PF -3 and SR zoning districts. This prohibition shall not apply to pick-up trucks, or personal recreational equipment. Construction equipment shall not be stored on lots in residential or commercial districts except during the period of permitted construction. V. Chapter 11, Section 11.505(2), Code of Ordinances (1995 Edition), City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows: 11.505 OUTDOOR DISPLAY AND STORAGE (2) Permitted Outdoor Display and Storage The three categories of outdoor display and storage shall be allowed in the districts designated in the table below. Each category is described in Section (3), below. VI. A. Consider an ordinance amending Chapter 11, Zoning, Code of Ordinances (1995 Edition) to amend provisions related to the public facilities zoning districts. (First Reading) Department: Planning and Community Development Staff Person: Jim Stendebach, Planning Director Justification: This set of amendments to the zoning ordinance replaces references to the former Public Facilities district with new references to the appropriate PF -1, PF -2, or PF -3 districts. Funding: Cost: N/A Source of funds: N/A Outside Resources: N/A Background Information: In August 2004, City Council replaced the Public Facilities district with the three new districts. At that time, staff did not identify all the Public Facilities cross-references, therefore, corrections are being proposed at this time. Public Comment: Public Notice and a public hearing were held in accordance with City of Round Rock's Zoning Ordinance.
