LLC for the Round Rock West Improvements Project.
This item will authorize the City to execute CO #2, which will include installation of
larger and longer wiring to facilitate an upsize to a 225A electrical panel at the restroom
to accommodate events held at the park, installation of a planter seatwall at the
playground to provide additional seating for spectators, installation of extended seatwall
at the pavilion to provide additional seating and to extend the seatwall to the length of
the pavilion
The Round Rock West Improvement Project is being funded through the 2014 General
Obligation Fund. The project includes the demolition of existing park amenities, site
prep, new construction of concrete flatwork, park amenity installation, and masonry.
Parks and Recreation team members met with the neighborhood numerous times over
the past year to gather input on the park improvement plan and have been met with
overwhelming support. The final plan presented to the neighborhood received positive
feedback and the neighborhood was excited to see the redevelopment efforts by the
city. It aligns with the Game On: Parks and Recreation Master Plan and the City
Strategic Goals under Places and Spaces:
-Prevent neighborhood deterioration
