AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CODE BY REMOVING
THE DESIGNATION OF YIELD INTERSECTION FOR THE
INTERSECTION OF DEERFOOT DRIVE AND DOVE CREEK DRIVE;
PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND REPEALING
CONFLICTING ORDINANCES OR RESOLUTIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND
ROCK, TEXAS:
I.
That pursuant to Section 9.800, Code of Ordinances (1995
Edition), City of Round Rock, Texas, the below described
intersection is hereby no longer designated as a yield intersection
with a yield sign to be removed as follows:

H.
A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in
conflict herewith are expressly repealed.
B. The invalidity of any section or provision of this
ordinance shall not invalidate other sections or provisions
thereof.
C. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written
notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which
this Ordinance was adopted was posted and that such meeting was

open to the public as required by law at all times during which
this Ordinance and the subject matter hereof were discussed,
considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open

Deerfoot Drive at Dove Creek Drive. (First Reading)

History: The Greater Lake Creek Neighborhood Plan requested the City's help in
improving traffic flow through streets within the Dove Creek Subdivision.
Installation of stop signs at Dove Creek Drive and Ridgecrest Drive and the
removal of the yield sign at Deerfoot Drive will promote smoother traffic flow
and safety.
Funding:
Cost: $0
Source of funds: Operating Signs and Markers
Outside Resources: N/A
Impact: Once the traffic control device is removed will promote smoother and safer
vehicle flow through the subdivision.
Benefit: Improved safety for residents.
Public Comment: N/A
