G-01-10-11-11B2 - 10/11/2001ORDINANCE NO. &-01- / D - / 1 '" /1 i32 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CODE BY DESIGNATING THE INTERSECTION OF BLUFFTON DRIVE AND LAKE FOREST DRIVE AS AN ALL -WAY STOP INTERSECTION; PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES OR RESOLUTIONS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: I. That pursuant to Section 9.800, Code of Ordinances (1995 Edition), City of Round Rock, Texas, the below described intersection is hereby designated as an all -way stop intersection with stop signs to be erected as follows: ON AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH Bluffton Drive Lake Forest Drive Lake Forest Drive Bluffton Drive (both directions) II. A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in conflict herewith are expressly repealed. B. Consider an ordinance designating the intersection of Bluffton Drive and Lake Forest Drive as an all -way stop intersection. (Second Reading) The first reading was approved on September 27, 2001. Resource: Jim Nuse, Director of Public Works Tom Word, Chief Traffic Engineer History: This intersection serves as the main point of access to the Lake Forest amenity center and swimming pool. As such, there will be young pedestrians and bicyclists crossing Lake Forest Drive at this location. Therefore, this intersection warrants the establishment of an all -way stop condition for traffic safety.
