AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CODE BY
DESIGNATING THE INTERSECTION OF BLUFFTON DRIVE AND
LAKE FOREST DRIVE AS AN ALL -WAY STOP INTERSECTION;
PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND REPEALING
CONFLICTING ORDINANCES OR RESOLUTIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND
ROCK, TEXAS:
I.
That pursuant to Section 9.800, Code of Ordinances (1995
Edition), City of Round Rock, Texas, the below described
intersection is hereby designated as an all -way stop intersection
with stop signs to be erected as follows:
ON AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH
Bluffton Drive Lake Forest Drive
Lake Forest Drive Bluffton Drive
(both directions)
II.
A. All ordinances, parts of ordinances, or resolutions in
conflict herewith are expressly repealed.
B. The invalidity of any section or provision of this
ordinance shall not invalidate other sections or provisions
thereof.

C. The City Council hereby finds and declares that written
notice of the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which
this Ordinance was adopted was posted and that such meeting was
open to the public as required by law at all times during which
this Ordinance and the subject matter hereof were discussed,
considered and formally acted upon, all as required by the Open
Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, as amended.

ITEM: *11.B.2. Consider an ordinance designating the intersection of Bluffton
Drive and Lake Forest Drive as an all -way stop intersection.
(Second Reading) The first reading was approved on September 27,
2001.

History: This intersection serves as the main point of access to the Lake Forest amenity
center and swimming pool. As such, there will be young pedestrians and
bicyclists crossing Lake Forest Drive at this location. Therefore, this
intersection warrants the establishment of an all -way stop condition for traffic
safety.

Cost: $200
Source of funds: Operating Budget

Impact/Benefit: Increased safety for vehicular traffic.
