DATE: July 6, 2001
SUBJECT: City Council Meeting — July 12, 2001
ITEM: *10.C.1. Consider an ordinance authorizing the placement of a stop sign
on Broken Bow Drive at its intersection with Frontier Trail.
(Second Reading) The first reading of the ordinance was
approved on June 28, 2001.
Resource Person: Jim Nuse, Public Words Director
Tom Word, Traffic Engineer
History: Citizen alerted us to the fact that there was no stop sign at this street intersection
despite the fact that similar surrounding streets did have stop signs. Upon
investigation, it was discovered that the previous ordinance failed to list this
intersection. Due to safety concerns, a stop sign is needed on Broken Bow Drive
at Frontier Trail. There have been no changes since the first reading of the
ordinance.
